Do you have any old mobile phones lying around collecting dust?  Today 
I found a great program to recycle those phones and give back to the 
active duty troops who serve our country each day. 

The charity is named Cell Phones for Soldiers.  It was started by two 
teenagers with $21 of their own money and has grown into a registered 
501c3 non-profit organization that has raised almost $2 million in 
donations and distributed more than 500,000 prepaid calling cards to 
soldiers serving overseas. 

Cell Phones for Soldiers will take *any* used mobile phone you have 
and recycle it.  The proceeds they get from that recycling effort are 
put toward purchasing prepaid calling cards for active duty troops to 
call home.  Additionally, you are being green and recycling that phone 
rather than eventually throwing it away and introducing more waste and 
dangerous chemicals into our landfills.  This is win win for our 
soldiers and the environment!

can skip to step 3.) 

1.  Charge that phone up because you're going to want to delete all of 
your personal data off of it. 
2.  Consult your product documentation and wipe your phone or visit

3.  Find a box! 
4.  Visit:  http://goo.gl/VfRI to get more information on how and 
where to send the phones.  Cell Phones for Soldiers will even give you 
a prepaid label to send it in.  On this page you can also print a 
donation receipt for tax deduction purposes. 
5.  Mail your box! 

Additionally, you can drop any used phone from any carrier off at AT&T
