According to news reports, Barack will make a public appearance in Philadelphia on the morning of Saturday, January 17th, before boarding a train to D.C. for the inauguration. Details have not yet been announced. We will register voters and recruit volunteers at the event. Join the Obama volunteers of Center City East to a Town Hall meeting with Mayor Nutter on Wednesday, December 10 at the Benjamin Franklin High School,  550 N. Broad Street. (map) Hear and ask questions about the budget cuts. Meeting will be held from 7-8:30/9pm. Members of the public should arrive at approximately 6:30-6:45pm.
